Brandy-Kissed Rosé Sangria: A Refreshing Twist

Tue, Apr 30, 24  |  brandy cocktails

This recipe takes the classic rosé sangria and gives it a delightful kick with brandy. The fruit juices mingle with the brandy's warmth, creating a complex and satisfying drink perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle (750ml) chilled dry rosé wine
  • 3 tablespoons brandy
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup halved red grapes
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup club soda or sparkling water (chilled)
  • Fresh mint sprigs (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Assemble the flavors: In a large pitcher, combine the rosé wine, brandy, sugar, strawberries, grapes, orange slices, and lemon slices.

  2. Sweetness symphony: Stir gently to dissolve the sugar. Taste and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar a tablespoon at a time if desired.

  3. Fruity infusion: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight. This allows the fruits to release their juices and infuse the wine with flavor.

  4. Bubbly finish: Just before serving, stir in the chilled club soda or sparkling water.

  5. Serve and savor: Fill glasses with ice and pour the sangria over the ice. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint for an extra touch of elegance (optional).

Tips:

  • Brandy variations: Feel free to experiment with different types of brandy. Cognac or Armagnac will add a richer flavor, while a fruit brandy like peach or cherry can offer a more playful twist.

  • Fruity symphony: This recipe is just a starting point! Play around with different fruits like chopped peaches, nectarines, or even a handful of raspberries for a delightful variation.

  • Non-alcoholic option: For a refreshing non-alcoholic version, simply omit the brandy and add a splash of orange juice or flavored sparkling water to taste.

Enjoy your brandy-kissed rosé sangria! It's a perfect way to unwind and celebrate with friends and family.
